【摘要】:Thisstandardshallspecifytheminimumdesign,performance,testing,andcertificationrequirementsforUSARensemblesandensembleelements,includinggarments,helmets,gloves,footwear,andeyeandfaceprotectiondevicesdesignedtoprovideemergencyresponsepersonnellimitedprotectionfromphysical,environmental,thermal,chemicalsplash,andbloodbornehazardsduringUSARoperations.Thisstandardshallapplytothedesign,manufacturing,andcertificationofnewprotectiveensemblesornewindividualprotectiveensembleelements.Thisstandardshallnotapplytoprotectiveensemblesorprotectiveensembleelementsforpersonnelassignedtoorinvolvedinsearch,rescue,recovery,orsitestabilizationoperationsthatrequirethefunctionalcapabilitiesforwaterorwildernessincidents.Thisstandardshallnotapplytoprotectiveensemblesforanyfire-fightingoperationsorhazardousmaterialsemergencies.Thisstandardshallnotapplytoprotectionfromradiologicalagents,protectionfromallbiologicalagents,orprotectionfromallhazardouschemicals.CertificationoftheUSARensemble,orensembleelementsoftheprotectiveensemble,totherequirementsofthisstandardshallnotprecludecertificationtoadditionalappropriatestandardswheretheprotectiveensembleorensembleelementsmeetalltheapplicablerequirementsofeachstandard.TherequirementsofthisstandardshallnotapplytoaccessoriesthatcouldbeattachedtoanyelementoftheUSARensembleunlessspecificallyaddressedherein.Nothinghereinshallrestrictanyjurisdictionormanufacturerfromexceedingtheseminimumrequirements.
