【摘要】:Thispracticewillenablecalibrationofoilspilldispersantapplicationequipmentandensureadesireddosageanduniformityacrosstheswathwidth.Thedataprovidedbythemethodsdescribedhereinwillpermitthepreparationofachartrelatingdeliveryratewithapplicationvehiclespeed,flowmeterreadingorpumpsettingsothatinactualapplication,thedesireddosagewillbeachieved.Thispracticewillensurethatadispersantapplicationsystemisfunctional,capableofdeliveringaspecifieddosage,andthatmajorcomponentsareoperational.ThiswillalsoensurethattheunitisfunctioningaccordingtodesignspecificationsasdetailedinGuideF1413.1.1Thispracticecoversuniformproceduresfordeterminingandreportingthedosagerateofoilspilldispersantapplicationequipment.1.2Thispracticeisapplicabletospraysystemsemployingboomsandnozzlesandisnotfullyapplicabletoothersystemssuchasfiremonitors,sonicdistributors,orfan-sprayguns.1.3Thispracticeisapplicabletosystemsforuseonshipsorboatsandhelicoptersorairplanes.1.4Thispracticeisoneoffourrelatedtodispersantapplicationsystemsusingboomsandnozzles.Oneisondesign,oneoncalibration,oneondeposition,andoneontheuseofthesystems.Familiaritywithallfourstandardsisrecommended.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
